Experts Matter

We have recently gathered together a knowledgeable and amazingly talented group of subject matter experts from information security and technology leadership to family governance and education.

We are fortunate to call these individuals close advisors. In addition to our Founders' expertise, our advisors' collective knowledge and perspective are woven into everything we do, directly benefiting our clients.

Introducing Jill Shipley

Jill Shipley

Today, we are pleased to introduce Jill Shipley, Managing Director and Head of Governance and Education at Tiedemann Advisors. She has over 20 years of experience and expertise in family systems, preparing next generations, communicating about wealth, and navigating family enterprise transitions. She thus fits seamlessly into our strategy to provide our clients with actionable information to facilitate family trust and communication in all of life’s unique phases.

Jill’s take on leafplanner? She emphasizes that being well prepared is essential to estate planning in any wealth bracket. Still, the impact of leafplanner among HNW and UHNW families is crucial in discovering things you hadn’t even considered.

"In my opinion, everyone would benefit from using leafplanner, no matter your financials. leafplanner is a critical tool every wealthy family should complete and update regularly to provide peace of mind."

She states, "No one wants to think about, talk about or plan for themselves or a loved one becoming ill, incapacitated, or passing away. However, not doing so is one of the most significant risks I see facing wealthy families. When someone passes away and emotions are overwhelming, a family should not be concerned with finding the will, locating contact information for the executor, figuring out what bills need to be paid (or what the passwords are) to keep the lights on and/or what the safe code is (or where the safe, safety deposit box, investment accounts, assets or heirlooms are located). In my opinion, everyone would benefit from using leafplanner, no matter your financials. That said, as wealth grows, so does complexity. leafplanner is a critical tool every wealthy family should complete and update regularly to provide peace of mind."

We look forward to Jill’s expertise guiding us as we continually refine and introduce new topics in our leafplanner Guides to better educate our clients, and their heirs, for a successful succession of information.
